The gallery showcases a variety of international artworks, while providing a discriminating customer with an enjoyable shopping experience.
The Sales Associate must have 3-5 years retail sales experience. Experience and passion for selling art or luxury products is a definite plus. Must have worked in the Beverly Hills, Mid-Wilshire or West Hollywood area.
The primary job responsibilities include:
- MUST have strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks and social media (facebook, twitter, pintrest)
- MUST have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Interacting and selling to customers one-on-one: greet and acknowledge every customer, convincing, personable, and able to sell
- Maintain the store to a high standard at all times, such as keeping all surfaces clean, artworks straight and neat
- Maintain the desk, helping to keep things organized and clean
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of the gallery's artworks, artists and services.
- Ensuring that product inventory and sales are properly recorded
- Mastery of electronic POS register and QuickBooks sales transactions
- Additional languages helpful
- Maintain positive outlook and professional demeanor while doing tasks at all levels
It is important to provide the best customer service and a wonderful shopping experience.
The regularly scheduled hours are Tues-Sat, with a total of about 35 hours per week. Must be flexible to work extra hours at exhibition openings or special events about every 4-6 weeks.
