The applicant should be an enthusiastic, creative, charismatic leader willing to work as a member of an administrative team. They should be able to multi task, have stong written and oral communication skills, be flexible, take initiative as well as direction and have strong organization and interpersonal skills. They should be willing to delegate tasks as well as take charge, as necessary.
Qualifications:
Must have at least 5 years teaching experience and 3 years of administrative experience
Have a Master's degree and a multi subject teaching credential
Knowledgeable about elementary curriculum and the common core standards
Be familiar with the WASC accrediting process
Responsibilities:
Recruitment, enrollment and retention of students
Teacher training
Parent relations and communication
Curriculum review and implementation
Mentor and coach staff members
Be an active participant in school and local community events
The working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional evening or weekend events
