EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (Santa Monica)

More infoThe Heart Touch Project" seeks a dynamic, energetic individual to serve as our Executive Director. Currently we recruit and train individuals to provide compassionate, caring touch to those at the end of life and to hospitalized infants and children. We are poised to expand our training programs to introduce doctors and other healthcare professionals to the benefits of the Heart Touch" approach in general patient care and wellness.

The ideal candidate will have five to eight years of management or leadership experience in a non-profit organization, preferably in the healthcare field, and be comfortable in the for-profit arena as well. Experience with strategic planning as well as financial, operational and campaign oversight is required.
Specific roles and responsibilities:
? Develop strategies and initiatives that meet the challenges of introducing the Heart Touch" methodology to the medical community
? Oversee the planning and implementation of development initiatives geared to gaining foundation, corporate and individual support, which will include annual campaigns and events
? Manage the day-to-day activities of the organization Develop and monitor the annual budget
? Oversee the successful execution and evaluation of existing training and volunteer programs
? Oversee the organization's marketing and public relations activities, including the website and social media Represent The Heart Touch Project" to our partner healthcare organizations
? Serve as the public face of the organization in the media, the research community, and philanthropic circles

Qualifications and requirements include a commitment to the mission and programs of The Heart Touch Project"
? excellent oral, written and organizational skills
? strong interpersonal and networking skills; ability to manage and supervise the work of other
? experience with budgeting and financial reporting
? experience with grant writing and evaluation
? ability to multi-task while working with a limited number of staff.

The position reports to the Board of Directors. Depending on experience, the salary rage is between $60,000 and $65,000, plus benefits.
