LOS ANGELES CHILD GUIDANCE CLINIC is a private, non-profit, community-based mental health clinic with over 80-years of service to the children of Central and South Los Angeles. We have immediate openings for Clinical Supervisors who meet either the Board of Behavioral Sciences' or Board of Psychology's requirements to supervise staff completing clinical hours toward licensure. Supervisors must meet or exceed their respective licensing Board's requirements to supervise staff collecting hours toward licenses by providing mental health services. Specifically for Supervisors with early intervention services expertise.
Clinical Supervisors work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing mental health services to children and their families/caregivers by providing clinical supervision to staff obtaining hours towards licensure in their respective disciplines, within Clinic and Board standards and performing related duties. Some positions may include a client case load and/or part-time status and/or contractor status, depending on duties performed. Supervisors also timely complete required notes, paperwork, supervision logs, attend meetings, provide staff trainings, may evaluate staff clinical skills and may meet productivity requirements, again depending on actual duties performed. Supervisors are responsible for reviewing supervisees chart documentation, and reviewing charts for timeliness and appropriateness of services. Supervisors may be assigned to Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health or other programs. Other duties will be assigned.
Requirements: Minimum of a master's degree or equivalent (MSW, MA, Ph.D., PsyD, or MS) plus licensure and clinical experience and/or training directly related to children and child counseling. Clinical Supervisors must have and maintain current, valid licensure and sufficient years of experience to provide supervision to staff obtaining hours, per their respective Board requirements. Demonstrated knowledge of Board and Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health requirements highly preferred. Bilingual Spanish speaking ability is also highly desired.
Salary, Hours & Benefits: DOE/DOQ, depending upon program, plus experience and licensure status. In keeping with Clinic policy, successful applicants must also complete a test for TB and fingerprint clearance by the Department of Justice. A current, valid CA driver license and insurable driving record may be required, depending on assignment.
