Film Production Co - Screenwriting & Development Assistant/Intern (Beverly Hills)

You should have a car, mac laptop, a passion for the entertainment business, a sense of humor, strong/friendly phone presence, excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to multi-task and prioritize. We are looking for personable self-starters who would enjoy an informal, fun, working environment.

Responsibilities include:

PRIMARY FOCUS

Screenwriting. Re-writing and editing and polishing existing feature scripts. Writing outlines, treatments and first-drafts of new scripts. Project development, brainstorming, writing and editing; finding and helping develop new material; coverage of scripts, books, plays and articles; developing actor/writer/director lists, preparing script production packets and look-books, possibility of participating as background player or actor if desired.

SECONDARY FOCUS
Assisting with...

Industry outreach using networking, online sources and trade publications to identify prospects, update database; emailing and phoning to organize conference calls and meetings. Internet outreach / digital marketing to engage key constituents through social media.

Administrative duties -- rolling calls, email and phone correspondence, scheduling meetings/travel, managing daily appointments schedule, interacting with agents and producers, occasional errands, database upkeep, and providing general office support.

Should live in LA, be a recent college graduate, graduate student or upperclassman and have written at least one feature script or several TV episodes. Agency or studio experience a plus. Knowledge of film and strong writing skills are top priorities. Six-month commitment preferred.
