Small friendly manufacturing company in Torrance looking for a full-time MMIC Design Engineer.

Job Description:

Responsible for reviewing and reporting all MMIC design activity
Responsible for managing projects and interfacing with customers
Design, layout and test monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) operating at microwave and millimeter wave frequencies
Develop MMIC specifications and topology for both signal processing functions (attenuators, phase shifters, switches, etc.) and amplifiers (low noise and power)
Develop MMIC design, layout circuits using Microwave Office, process wafers, test and evaluate MMICs
Characterize MMICs and devices using on-wafer and standard bench techniques
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience in the industry
US Citizenship
Minimum of 3 years of experience in MMIC design and project management
Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively
Familiarity with MWO and GaAs foundry design rules
Proficient in using AWR software for simulation, design, and layout tools in the MMW frequency range
Familiarity with vector network analyzer

Desired Skills:

Master's degree in electrical engineering
Experience in LabView
Experience in MMIC design and on-wafer testing
Proficient in using on-wafer probing equipment

Physical Requirements:-

Engage in the following activities for prolonged periods of time:
o Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, although sedentary at times
o Talking and listening
o Fine motor skills
o Lift up to 30 pounds
