Basically, we are looking for an incredible person to help with our marketing and outreach both offline (direct mail, relationships with local hospitals and doctors, partnerships with related businesses, special events, etc) and online (email newsletter, blog, social media, online calendars & forums, etc); a master implementer, organizer, and multi-tasker; someone who is a great self-starter and also able to follow directions well. In a totally perfect world, you would also have experience with graphic design, web design, InfusionSoft, YahooStores, teleseminars & webinars, and video marketing.
Although the focus of this job is marketing, you will also be expected to work the retail sales floor, demonstrate & sell products, answer the phone, educate & register customers for classes, assist in keeping the store clean & organized, and function as a backup to other team members where required. You must have excellent customer service skills, and understand that the customer always comes first. The role will be about 50% marketing and 50% retail sales/store operations. If you are an "it's not my job" kind of person, then you are correct, this is NOT your job, and please don't bother applying - everyone does everything in our store, including taking out the trash! We will love you even more if you are the kind of person who finds something useful to do, even when "there isn't anything to do."
This is a part-time (about 20hrs/wk) position, with possible growth to full-time for the right person. The hours are somewhat flexible -- ideally 10am-3pm Monday through Thursday working in our Encino store plus some extra hours working online or visiting local hospitals & doctors' offices. Weekend and evening hours may be required once or twice a month for special events or to meet certain deadlines. We are usually able to accommodate time-off requests and schedule changes, given advanced notice -- we have families and lives too! :-) (If you can't do 10-3 M-Th, but feel like this job is a strong fit for you, please do send us your info -- we may be able to work out a different schedule.)
