Underwriter / Sr. Processor (Los Angeles)

More infoEstablished Los Angeles Mortgage Direct Lender/ Broker office seeking a full time Underwriter / Processor. Applicants must have a minimum of 4 years of mortgage experience in a brokerage / lender firm.

Office duties include:
1) Loan Processing (Loan Submissions to Lenders / Locking Loans)
2) Credit / Income (Personal and Corporate taxes) and Collateral Underwriting
3) Pipeline Management
4) Managing Jr. Loan Processors
5) Daily Contact with Loan Officers and Lenders.
6) STRONG understanding of the NEW HUD/GFE disclosures laws
7) STRONG understanding of HVCC guidelines

MUST be able to handle a multitude of administrative activities and wear MANY hats. This job is not for a Newer processor or a individual that does not know ALL aspects of closing a loan. Please do not apply if you have not worked for a brokerage that submits a loan to a variety of lenders. You must have a strong understanding that every investor has their own overlays and be able to look up guidelines.

We are a busy office and in need of someone that will be able to hit the ground running with minimal training.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a mortgage Sr. Processor / underwriter (Min 4 Years)
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge
- Knowledge of Calyx Point / Microsoft Word / Excel and Outlook
- Excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail
- College degree preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish a Plus
