The Clinical Research Coordinator II is responsible for all phases of clinical research including the initial IRB submission, obtaining informed consents, required study updates and monitor activities, data collection, as well as manuscript, poster or presentation preparation. This person would develop a close relationship with the CHLA and USC IRB staff to facilitate the production of research activities. This person would also interact well with institutions and entities outside the CHLA campus to facilitate collaborative research projects. This person may also participate in study design.

Qualifications: BA or BS/ Masters Preferred. 3 years experience with interviewing and recruiting project participants. Experience using various servers and the internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and SPSS preferred. Experience specifically with otolaryngology or ear, nose and throat research is preferred.

License, Registration or Certification Required: Clinical Research Certification through SOCRA; ACRP, or other approved program obtained within 6 months of employment. GCP Certification required within 3 months.

Skills Required: Thorough knowledge of one or more database application programs. Excellent verbal and organizational skills required. Good written communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Familiarity with Phase I,II, III and pharmaceutical Clinical Trials preferred. Fluent in Spanish preferred.
