More infoExciting opportunity!Easter Seals Bay Area, a premier provider of services for individuals with disabilities and special needs, is seeking positive, energetic, and motivated Behavior Interventionists to provide behavioral services to school-aged children with autism.

This position is for home-based services addressing both the child's educational and therapeutic needs, and providing parent education and support. Our developmental based model, Early Start Denver Model employs the principles of ABA in an incidental (or naturalistic) teaching format. In addition, Easter Seals places a strong emphasis on the professional development of its staff, and offers extensive support and training to all of our employees in our autism program that include weekly and monthly meetings.

The Behavioral Interventionist will provide 1:1 intervention therapy to children with autism spectrum disorders that will facilitate inclusion into the least restrictive environment. Qualifications:
The qualified candidate should have a minimum of:
- Bachelors degree in a Human Services related field
- A love of working and interacting with children!
- Desire to "make a difference"
- Understanding of autism: prior experience working with children with developmental disabilities or delays, a plus
- Willingness to be trained in providing behavioral therapy

Additional requirements:
Because our kiddos are school aged, the ability to work 3pm-7pm (MTWTh) and 11am-7pm (F) is important
Comfortable starting with us part time 20-25 hrs/week and building caseload to full time (37.5 hrs/week). 30+hrs/week qualifies for organizational benefits!
Reliable transportation and clean driving record
