Experienced Landscape Design Assist./Project Coordinator-PT (Los Feliz)

We are interested in interviewing immediately and prefer to find someone that can start right away.

This position is for an experienced landscape architect or designer to assist in the office and in the field at times. Our needs are primarily administrative however the design component will vary according to the abilities of the job candidate. The work includes preliminary job costing, writing, client and vendor communications, help with collections, design and graphics. It is helpful if you've had experience working with high-end clientele.

SCHEDULE:
Looking for a 15-20 hrs/2-3 days a week
Start at 9:30 or 10 am.
Some working from home is an option.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 years related experience
Must be very good to exceptional at making and keeping order
Comfortable with multitasking
Energetic and Motivated
At peace with a 2-3 person quiet zen-type working environment
Valid drivers license, car available
Good attention to detail
A degree in Art, Architecture, Design or Business is a Plus, but not required
Professional Landscape design experience preferred; interior design experience acceptable. Reliable and able to keep schedule
References, Trustworthy

SKILLS NEEDED:
MS Word, & Excel necessary, PowerPoint Preferred
Mac Platform
CS Suite Photoshop required, Illustrator and/or InDesign Preferred
Basic drafting, hand drawing, OR CAD, OR VectorWorks Landmark
Demonstrated understanding of design aesthetics and design process
Excellent English and pleasant communicator with clients and contacts

DUTIES:
Assist with clients/projects management, updating and coordinating w/ contractors & vendors. Follow up with new project leads
Keep resource library materials filed and in order
Assist with data base order
Keep office in good order physically
Prepare plant and materials spread sheets
Track project cost and time sheets
Email communications and Mail management
Phone answering
Researching, sourcing, procuring
Assist in proposal and presentation development
Vendor and client site checks
Possible occasional site measuring & photo survey
Possible inventory and fulfillment of our new products
Possible social media and internet profiles updating
Possible word press web site updating
Possible writing assistance

COMPENSATION:
This is Contract based work. (1099) Mileage reimbursement will be provided if traveling for work. Pay is $15-$18/ hr based upon experience. There is opportunity for advancement and changing scope of work. Discounts on our products. Sales commissions IF that is an interest.
