Accounts Payable Specialist

Our corporate office in Van Nuys is seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist. We are looking for a self-motivated, accurate, detail-oriented, and professional individual. The right candidate must be organized and thorough and be able to handle high-priority and demanding tasks. This position will report directly to the Finance Manager and work closely with others in the Company.

Job functions include but not limited to:
? Accounts Payable - processing of and management of high-volume accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper classification, and other AP functions as required
? Works closely with the Vendors and with other staff members to ensure timely paperwork flow
? Posting invoices and various transactions using NetSuite and QuickBooks.
? Communicate order/billing discrepancies with Vendors, with use of a multi-line phone system and MS Outlook
? Sales Reconciliation - receiving sales data from store locations and reconciling the data received with the POS system, accurately recording the sales figures and posting into accounting software
? Payment Scheduling -- working closely with the CEO to process and schedule payments, as a high priority task of this position. Prior experience working with a daily cash flow and scheduling payments are a plus
? Sales Tax -- preparation of sales tax payments for all locations, submitted to the CEO for processing
? Perform other duties and/or projects as needed by the Finance Manager or CEO

Requirements and Qualifications:
? Minimum two years' experience in a high-level Accounts Payable position
? Preferred minimum two years of college experience
? Experience with the NetSuite Accounting Software and/or QuickBooks
? Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook) -- must have a higher-level understanding of Excel and spreadsheets
? Strong written and verbal communication skills
? Professional presentation and conduct
? Must be responsible, be self-managed, have excellent follow-up and research skills, and be detail oriented
? Must be able to work both independently and in teams
? The ability to find efficiencies within their position, their tasks, and other areas of the company are a plus

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Compensation BOE. Benefits after 90 days.
