Leading law firm seeks Collections Specialist. Primary duties include coordinating the collection activity of an accounts receivables portfolio and working closely with firm management in order to maximize collectability. Responsibilities include reviewing the status of delinquent accounts and contacting clients regarding outstanding balances. Collections Specialist will reconcile client accounts receivables and maintain payment schedules. Collections Specialist will communicate with 3rd party collection groups, follow-up to ensure all billing issues are resolved timely, frequent periodic review of miscellaneous charge accounts and resolution tracking. Collections Specialist will sit in on quarterly meetings and work closely with the Billing Attorneys and Management in order to determine the best course of action.

Collections Specialist Requirements:

* Minimum of 2 years collections experience preferably in a law or other professional firm, and with a client solution emphasis.
* Knowledge of collections, e billing, negotiations, settlements and problem resolutions.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and writing skills.
* Able to work a flexible schedule when required.
* Must have intermediate to advanced Excel skills
* Ability to work under time constrains and daily deadlines.
* Experience with Aderant (formerly CMS) a plus.
