Clinical Specialist

--Creates and maintains staff work schedule
-- Supervises, and cares for the children individually, and in groups
--Assists units' children in working in groups and handling individual problems
--Recruits, selects, trains, and supervises all unit child care staff; sets and communicates employee performance standards in accordance with the Agency program standards; provides and development for unit child care and the Senior Counselors
--Responsible for conducting regular chart reviews ensuring that all appropriate record keeping is performed on a timely basis and that all governing agency regulations are fulfilled
--Responsible fro one on one counseling of residents as an ongoing treatment
--Plans and supervises all official functions of the treatment unity
-- Supervises and participates in primary counselor duties to clients and their families including screening and intake, psychosocial assessments; client and family orientation, development of treatment plans; crisis intervention; group, individual, family and didactic sessions; discharge summary and planning; case management and coordination of treatment services with probation, school and other referral sources. Multi-lingual counselors may be asked to provide services in multiple languages to meet the needs of the clients and families.
--Operate within the mindset/framework of a trauma informed Milieu by maintaining emotional and physical safety of the facility's logistics, supervision of program participants activities and monitoring visitors/family members

RequirementsExperience with entering documentation in an electronic health record system. Must have strong computer skills.

Prefer LMFT or LCSW or near licensure

Senior Counselor

The Senior Counselor is responsible for the supervision of counseling staff, while facilitating all program activities. Employee is expected to exercise independent judgment and discretion. This includes serving as primary care giver and role model to the residents of Phoenix House and to the community.

Supervises and participates in primary counselor duties to clients and their families including screening and intake, psychosocial assessments; client and family orientation, development of treatment plans; crisis intervention; group, individual, family and didactic sessions; discharge summary and planning; case management and coordination of treatment services with probation, school and other referral sources. Multi-lingual counselors may be asked to provide services in multiple languages to meet the needs of the clients and families.

Experienced Substance Counselors

Counselor Certification is required for this position.

The Recovery Specialist work in collaboration with the Social Worker Case Manager and develop, maintains the client's treatment plan. S/He advocates recovery by serving as a personal guide/mentor for people seeking or in recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction and helping to remove barriers and obstacles to recovery. The Recovery Specialist also plans, implements and coordinates an array of comprehensive, individualized services for program participants and performs administrative work in support of the program.
