Restaurant Bookkeeper/Accountant (Studio City)

We are looking for a responsible, problem solving, self-starter, to be an integral part of our leadership team working to manage, set up systems and help our company grow. The Bookkeeper will report to the Managing Member. The Bookkeeper must be able to manage multiple organizational areas and effectively support the organization in all areas of accounting and finances. This is a perfect position for a highly motivated, detailed oriented and self-starter professional who is able to work independently and in a team environment. This is a part time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting and Finances:
* Directs day to day accounting, including account reconciliations, general ledger, accounts payable, deposits, payroll, etc.
* Maintains Accounting Policies and Procedures manual to safeguard assets, achieve objectives, and ensure the integrity of financial data.
* Works with the Managing Member and General Manager to guide the development and management of budgets, monitoring performance against budget and forecasts and managing cash flow.
* Oversees the preparation for annual financial audits with related Federal and State tax returns: coordinates issuance of annual financial statements.
* Prepares budgets sent with proposals to potential funders.
* Prepares financial statements and reports including data for the Managing Member and Investors
* Ensures compliance with all financial and contract reporting requirements for private and public agencies. Primary staff contact for property tax, IRS, workers comp, or other compliance activities.
* Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed action
* Out of the box thinker with a broad vision of leadership role within the organization

HUMAN RESOURCE/ADMINISTRATIVE:
* Maintains and communicates the organization's insurance and benefits policies, which include Liability Insurance, worker's compensation, health and other benefits.
*Maintains all employee files

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
? Minimum 3-7 years of experience in multi-entity Retail, Restaurants, or Hospitality accounting and/or finance is preferred
? BA or BS Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance required
? Mid-size and/or Regional CPA firm experience is encouraged
? Must posses a solid understanding of GAAP
? Degreed individuals with restaurant industry accounting will be given priority consideration
? This position will interface with various departments, vendors and clientele. ?The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. He/she must be proficient with Quickbooks, MS Office including strong knowledge of Excel
