Our client in Hollywood is searching for a Full Time Staff Accountant to join their Finance Department.

Bachelors degree (B.A.) in Accounting and 2 to 5 years related experience required. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access software.

Responsibilities
? Review, analysis and verification of various business transactions including all revenues, expenses, and accruals;
? Preparation of journal entries;
? Review monthly general ledger for accuracy with and provide periodic updates, variance analysis and performance reports to Controller, Associate CFO and CFO;
? Provide support to Controller and Associate CFO with Annual Financial Audits, Contract Audits, and any additional audits as necessary.
? Perform constant monitoring of financial and accounting requests and submissions to assure compliance with policy. Review expense reporting including credit card and expense report reconciliations for accuracy and compliance with policy.
? Will perform a wide variety of special projects and data gathering functions as well as developing reports as necessary.
? Prepare specialized reports, analysis and financial models; present results of analysis.
? Review month-end financial reports, construct financial statements, provide variance analysis, research financial irregularities, and use the analysis to develop meaningful financial reporting.
? Coordinate and develop ad hoc analysis as required.
? Provide support to other Finance Department staff, as required.
? Cross-train on Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliations and other accounting functions.
