Underwriter Trainee (Losa Angeles, CA)

Responsibilities
? Responsibilities include production for D&O product line in the Los Angeles region
? Engage in marketing efforts and new business development
? Handle new and renewal business for wholesale brokers
? Work with operations, claims, external marketing to build products and contribute to financial performance of unit
? Maintain excellent service standards
? Develop relationships and maintain existing relationships with regional broker base
? Monitor product results and develop ideas to increase results

Requirements
? B.A./B.S degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management & Insurance required
? Strong understanding of Financial Statements and Ratios required
? Minimum 0-2 years insurance marketing/sales and underwriting experience
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
? Proficient with presentations and negotiations
? Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
? Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external customers, including brokers
? Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Outlook and Internet applications
? Some travel required
