Telecom experience/knowledge in the service provider arena is required. A sales support associate performs numerous clerical and office tasks to save the sales force valuable time.
Duties include but are not limited to; processing new sales leads, managing the correspondence between the sales team and their clients, monitoring customer accounts, providing data and reports to help the sales team.
Sales support associates answer customer questions and complaints, reply to emails, route calls and often follow up with potential clients by making sure the product or service sold by the sales department has been delivered as promised. Generally, support associates work on tasks that are essential to making a sale and helping a company stay profitable.
The ideal candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills because he/she will be in regular contact with various technical and administrative staff along with agents and customers. The ideal candidate will be motivated, organized, courteous and professional. Most sales support associates will need to have a basic understanding of math, filing procedures, typing, computer programs and how to operate office equipment.
