Senior level technician responsibilities will include trouble shooting all main components (DVR/NVR) analog and IP surveillance systems, readers and door hardware for access control systems, burglar and fire alarms, entry telephone, nurse call and intercom systems. Troubleshooting all components down to the wire or source to determine system status. Must be able to read manuals and blueprints and prepare ahead of time on how to install and program other systems. Electronics technician certificates a plus. Must be fluent in English and have good speaking and writing skills. Must be good at basic math. Must have own hand tools including ohm and video meter, video test monitor, battery tester, and ethernet jack tester. Must be able to safely lift, transport, and climb ladders including extension ladders and be trained in their safe use. Must be able to lift 100 pounds. Must be able to crawl in attics or crawl spaces. Must have cell phone and email. Must have own means of reliable transportation and be able to drive to job sites all over Greater Los Angeles (mileage reimbursement outside San Fernando Valley). Must have clean driving history. Must be able to pass a written test and practical skills test. Must be able to work solo. Must be neat, clean, professional, and have excellent customer relationship skills.
