NEED AGGRESSIVE ENVIRONMENTAL LITIGATION ATTORNEY...

Fast growing law firm looking for an experienced litigation and trial lawyer, with AT LEAST 20 years experience, for growing Los Angeles firm. Flexible work hours; work from home or from your office. Should have access to online research tools, and be an excellent, persuasive writer, and have proper calendaring system.

This is for contract work on environmental law cases, including CERCLA, RCRA, etc. Specific emphasis of litigating with potentially responsible parties to comply with abatement orders, equitable indemnity, public nuisance, etc. Experience with insurance coverage for environmental claims is a big plus. We want an associate that will handle the case, who has had extensive experience in handling environmental law cases.

Must be able to take on matters and run with them, and provide well-written persuasive pleadings in MS Word format. Candidate should be very comfortable appearing in court for motions and trial, should be proficient in legal research, hardworking, organized, conscientious and ready to fight hard for our valued clients. We are aggressive litigators.

Our firm has a very friendly atmosphere with a virtual office setup. . .meaning, we tend to work remotely and email work product in. Good paralegal support for our attorneys as well.

Highly qualified candidates should be able to handle this case from start to finish, and work independently. Must have excellent writing, organization and calendaring skills. You will keep your own calendar, and interface with our other attorneys if desired.

Duties include drafting and responding to discovery and law and motion, defending depositions, performing legal research and case investigation, and performing all other case management duties, up to and including trial. You will have the freedom to develop case strategy, and interface with senior partner at firm. You will have plenty of court appearances, status conferences, mediations, etc.

Flexible work schedule; you can work from your own home.

If you do a great job on this case and we like your work, there will be opportunity to get additional work from us. We have a lot of general litigation cases, and we can always use a great, independent, skilled lawyer to take on some of our cases.

We are looking for a lawyer in good standing, who has at least 20 years experience, and has had at least 20 trials. Again, you must be willing and able to handle the case from start through trial, maintaining the calendar and files.

COMPENSATION: compensation is $75 to $100 per hour, depending on experience. And the best thing is you will never have to worry about getting paid or the discomfort of collecting from clients. Payment is immediate upon submission of time slips.
