Unitas Global is currently seeking a SOC Engineer Tier II. Our SOC (Support Operations Center) is the core of our support organization, responsible for ensuring our clients receive the best possible service and solutions from Unitas Global. Working in the company's headquarters in downtown Los Angeles, the candidate will provide shift-based 7x24x365 Tier-1 and 2 support for a worldwide internal and client-specific I.T. infrastructure ecosystem.
This position works within the service delivery and engineering group.

Responsibilities:
Take proactive and reactive actions to correct client and infrastructure issues.
Follow standards, policies and procedures for meeting service SLAs through the interaction with internal and external stakeholders of the system.
Responsible for all aspects of the IaaS data center services including Linux/Unix servers and networking equipment.
Perform regular (preventive) and corrective maintenance to network devices.
Coordinate with other team members for maintenance involving other portions of the system.
Identify performance issues and recommend/implement corrections, identify alarm correlations and appropriate response actions
Maintain system and customer configuration documentation.
Support subject matter experts on execution of system implementation and upgrades.
Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS maintenance, ongoing system configuration changes and multiple environment IaaS deployments
Quickly and efficiently troubleshoot simple and complex issues in order to provide outstanding support for customer and internal needs.

Job Requirements
Participate in 24x7 on call rotation periodically
Client facing with Fortune 100 clients as needed
Associate in Computer Science, Computer Networking or equivalent degree, or 3-5 years direct experience related to the skills specified.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under pressure; previous experience in infrastructure support or NOC/Operations environment is preferred.
Good customer relations and communication skills are required.
Solid understanding of WAN and LAN technologies is required. CCENT or higher certification is desired.
Solid understanding of Linux with an emphasis on RHEL/CentOS is required. Linux certification is desired.
24/7 shift availability required, migrating to extend working hours and on-call shift work within a Support Operations Center.
Candidate must be able travel on very rare occasions both domestically and internationally.
All candidates must be US Citizens, and not have anything preventing a security clearance from being obtained.
