Kidville operates upscale facilities catering to newborns through six-year-old children and their families. We offer a wide range of developmental classes including enrichment, art, music, and gym.
We are looking for energetic, outgoing, responsible, and fun guitarists, vocalists, pianists, and drummers to form a 4-piece band to perform 45 minute music classes for babies and toddlers! All candidates should be fast learners, team players, and hard workers - with good sense of humor and ability to interact with children and adults in a classroom setting. Competitive salary, tons of fun, flexible hours, and incredible opportunities! Additional work may also be available for children's birthday parties and classes!
Qualifications:
All Candidates:
o Theater background and/or experience performing in a band is preferred.
o Must be able to learn material by listening to MP3s.
o Knowledge of multiple styles of music is preferred.
o Experience teaching and/or working with young children preferred.
o Must be fluent in English.
o Must have experience with the Internet.
o Must provide documentation of legal U.S. residency.
In addition to the above qualifications, individual qualifications are specified below:
Guitarist - Must play guitar and sing well and have solid knowledge of fundamental chords.
Vocalist - Must be an excellent singer.
Pianist -- Must be an excellent pianist. Must be able to sight-read, follow sheet music, and learn material by listening to MP3s. Must have knowledge of and be able to play multiple styles of upbeat, improvisational music. Must have the ability to follow and improvise.
Drummer - Must be an excellent drummer. Must have knowledge of and be able to play multiple styles of upbeat, improvisational music for transitions between songs and activities by following pianist and guitarist. Must have the ability to follow and improvise.

The Kidville concept started when Shari Misher Stenzler, co-founder of London Misher Public Relations, found herself carrying her baby and stroller down a long flight of stairs for her child's first music class. "There must be a better way," she thought and began informally polling friends and fellow parents about their needs.
