More infoAlaska fishing lodge seeks culinary professional for discriminating clientele of 12 weekly guests for our summer season. Candidate should have at least 5 years of culinary experience working in fine dining establishments. The position includes oceanfront lodging. At least one kitchen assistant at all times. We cater exclusively to our guests of 12 people per week.

Candidate should have a well-rounded knowledge of fine cuisine and be able to create anything at the level of Morton's to French Laundry within the lodge's existing dining concepts, including desserts and pastry knowledge a plus. We create a fantastic dinner party atmosphere every night with many theme nights such as Mardi Gras, Pirate, Western and more. Guests all dine together seated around a large 8-ft round table in full view of the volcanoes across the Inlet. The ability to produce a , "WOW" factor, a must. We want our guests to relish their memories of superb dining in addition to their fantastic fishing experiences during their stay with us.

Meals required are breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfasts are early (4 to 7 a.m.) while lunch is packed for anglers to enjoy while they are out fishing. Dinner begins with appetizers and cocktails at 6 pm and dinner at 7 pm, six days a week.

Food preference list for each group is provided to assist in planning around meal preferences. Candidate will be responsible for ordering as well as ensuring the proper handling and storage of all food items in accordance with hotel standards and sanitation and health regulations.

Lodge caters to very selective guests so candidate must be able to conduct himself/herself professionally at all times. This person must have excellent communication skills, the ability to maintain the highest standards, must be a people person and must be able to pass a drug test.
