- The Financial/Accounting Assistant will provide assistance in the day-to-day accounting, financial and administrative operations of the Drew Cares International financial departmental functions.
- Handles the accounts payable, accounts receivables and procurement.
- Prepares journal entries and other accounting reports/schedules.
- Performs complex account reconciliations as required balances various accounts.
- Prepares check requests, wire transfers and purchase requisitions. Record disbursements, expenses and journal entries in the QuickBooks.
- Data entry, filing and making copies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A., B.S.) in Accounting or Finance.
- 3 years or more of relevant work experience in accounting and finance preferable in a non-government and non-profit organizations.
- Hands-on experience in bookkeeping, accounting, journal entries, general ledger through financial statements, analysis and budget.
- Knowledge and experience in federal grants and contracts and fund accounting.
- Strong verbal and written communications.
- Detailed oriented, strong in organizational, interpersonal and establishing priorities skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of personnel local and international.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of the use of QuickBooks, a must.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Can type 45 wpm.
Status: Part-time, 20 hours per week.
Salary range: $ 15/hr - S17/hr
