The Sony DADC Graphic Designer (CONTRACT) position provides creative design support for the Creative Services function supporting Sony DADC, including both the U.S. and global entities. The position is in Culver City, CA.

The successful candidate is a team player able to take direction from all team members from VP to Designer level. Key Traits looked for are a keen eye for detail, ability to work under deadline, and competency in following strict technical specifications. The Designer will:

Responsibilities
• Concept, build and deliver to spec menus for BD, DVD, iTunes, BD-Live and other new media
o includes capturing footage and editing motion loops
• Localize DVD Menus from provided English assets
• Attack other daily assigned graphic tasks
• Transfer knowledge gained from one project to another
• Perform required database entry

Requirements
• 3 years experience in Blu-ray and DVD menu design
• Superior Knowledge of the following:
o Photoshop (including Layer Comps and Smart Objects)
o Final Cut
o After Effects
o Cinema 4D (or desire and ability to learn)
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to meet extremely tight deadlines
• Professional Corporate attitude with flexibility towards job duties and client/management direction
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Full attention to the smallest details
• MAC, PC and Internet savvy
• Microsoft: Excel, Word

Additional Helpful Skills:
• Multi-media Design knowledge and/or interest
• InDesign / Illustrator
• 3D BD Menu Design (HDMV or BDJ)
