Our film company / online news and lifestyle magazine is seeking a passionate full-time social media / community coordinator to manage social media efforts for film campaigns, daily news magazine and the company's other online properties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Spend you day living and breathing our community across all social media properties, interacting with users, providing feedback/support and curating and distributing content
- Be the community advocate and represent the company's unique voice across all social media channels
- Manage social media properties including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and others
- Contribute to social media traffic and community growth goals
- Build and maintain relationships with traditional media, bloggers, influencers, potential partners, etc across key verticals
- Develop editorial calendar and distribute content (stories, promotions, contests, etc.) across various channels
- Execute social media outreach for film campaigns within social media
- Monitor and track conversations to help inform business decisions across cross-departmental team; develop weekly report on progress of social media efforts
- Provide thought leadership and ideas on emerging technologies/tools, new service offerings, changing behaviors and shifting trends in the social media space
Requirements
- Bachelors in marketing, communications, English, writing or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of social media universe (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, LinkedIn and others).
- Well versed in both traditional media relations and social media
- Engaging, friendly, upbeat and bursting with ideas
- Firm understanding of social networking and how to use social media to reach corporate goals
- Ability to work alone, but collaborate with a larger team and various stakeholders
- Excellent time management skills and able to juggle multiple projects as once
- Strong understanding of major tools/platforms to make social media content management efficient
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- 2+ years of experience with social media property management and/or managing communities
- Familiarity with measurement tools (Omniture, Sysomos, Radian6, Klout etc)
- Adobe creative suite and other experience with graphic design tools is a plus
Must be within driving distance of Beverly Hills and work from office.
