As a privately held, entrepreneurial real estate investment company specializing in the acquisition and management of apartment communities located throughout regions of the U.S., we are seeking a bright and energetic community manager for a 118-unit community in the Central Los Angeles area near the city of Downey. The community manager will be responsible for all aspects of community operations under the direction of the investment manager. We offer a stable property and renovated units, full-time maintenance, company support and training, and a professional leasing office.
Partial List of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Manage income growth.
? Supervise, support, and train other staff members.
? Resolve resident issues
? Coordinate vacant unit turnover process
? Process Applications
? Lease vacant units and pre-lease units on notice.
? Collect rent and control delinquency
? Schedule lease renewals with a focus on resident retention.
? Prepare competitive rent survey reports on a weekly basis
? Enforce house rules and company policies
? Coordinate marketing, advertising, and presentation
Requirements:
? Proficient with Word, Excel, and LTS. Yardi Voyager software experience is required for this position.
? 3 years of experience managing an apartment community in Southern California, or 3 years of experience as an assistant manager on a large property.
? Strong administrative and organizational skills.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
? The ability to multi-task.
? Analytical and problem solving skills.
? Familiar with operating budgets.
? Weekend work may be required.
? Fluent in Spanish.
? Live on site.
