The Janitor is responsible for performing cleaning tasks under the direction of the Operations Supervisor and performing at a level that meets or exceeds the quality guidelines of the work site.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring security of assigned keys, supplies and equipmentHeavy emphasis on cleaning of restrooms. This will be the main focus of the position.Performing daily and periodic cleaning tasksPicking up and removing trashSweeping and mopping hard floorsVacuuming carpeted areasCleaning glass, chrome fixtures, and metalworkCleans corridors, doors, walls and elevatorsCleaning and disinfecting bathroom sinks, toilet bowls, urinals, stalls and floorsDusts furniture, equipment and other spacesEmpty trashMaintaining satisfactory standards of professional conduct and appearanceProvides a high level of customer service through daily contact with the tenants and notify the Supervisor if a customer raises an issue.Immediately informing Operations Supervisor of customer and employee relations issuesEfficiently utilizing time to ensure all required deadlines are metAssisting in on-going quality assurance program, including regular review of inspections, documenting findings, and implementing continuous quality improvement programsProviding appropriate role modeling for assigned staff in personal hygiene and uniform wearing as required by ContractQualifications:
2 years previous custodial experience required. Able to lift, push,and pull 50lbs and be active on feet for duration of shift. Able to communicate in English Provide documentation of disabilities Able to work independently Able to pass a criminal history background check and all applicable clearancesHours for this position are Sunday - Thursday; 6:00pm - 2:30am
