Reporting directly to the Sales/Marketing Manager, the Product Development Associate is responsible for assisting on product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: prioritizing between current products and new product development, continually gathering and defining customer requirements as related to new product development, defining the product vision and strategy, and working cross-functionally with R&D, sales, operations, purchasing and customer service to ensure company goals are achieved. The Product Development Associate's job also includes working on various projects to support company's core objectives.

I. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

? Assist with market research, competitive product testing and pricing analysis
? Support sales with a variety of requests such as presentations, line reviews, etc.
? Help to launch new products and accessories to sales team
? Prioritize between projects on various topics
? Communicate with China vendors to develop new product from conception to completion.
? Have a sense of how trends will change, so that products can be designed with these changing trends in mind
? Prepare and maintain spec sheets, style development sheets and placement sheets
? Organize and maintain art files libraries and ftp files interface with vendors
? Assist in customer service
? Analyze customer feedbacks for future improvement of the products
? Any other duties as assigned by Sales/Marketing Manager.

III. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Ability to:
? Communicate with vendors, management, and other employees effectively
? Work varied hours/days as business dictates
? Multitask, prioritize, and give clear direction to the team
? Draw and layout for development and construction
? Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field and a minimum of two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
? Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
? Must be willing to travel
? Bilingual in Chinese is a plus
? Lift, move, and handle object up to 50 pounds
