Summary:
The Publicity Coordinator provides administrative and general support to the Director of Communications and Marketing in programs supporting all DDMG businesses and corporate initiatives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
? Assists the Director in planning, coordinating and executing marketing activities and events, and in developing materials
? Supports the Director in developing company websites to ensure continuity of branding and message
? Works with the Directors of Communications & Feature Film Marketing and Commercial EPs on the planning, scheduling, production and delivery of behind-the-scenes reels
? Selects still images from approved final shots of Digital Domain productions for publicity/web use
? Works with clients/studios to secure Digital Domain approvals for interviews, images, etc.
? Maintains library of images and reels for ongoing use
? Maintains library of bios, marketing writeups, press releases and headshots for ongoing use
? Responds to internal requests for images and video
? Supports external PR agency by coordinating press interviews and supplying images
? Supports the Director in award submissions -- creates & maintains calendar, proactively solicits executive input and submissions, secures/creates required elements, coordinates reviews, delivers and tracks
? Supports the Director by coordinating artist presentation requests --scheduling, logistics, etc.
? Coordinates tours of Digital Domain -- maintains calendar, prepares materials & personnel, hosts
? Works with the Director to respond to vendor requests for publicity, images and footage
? Drafts social media updates for DDPI and Mothership (Facebook and Twitter)
? Organizes, coordinates and executes company events for Venice and Playa initiatives
? Researches cost/coordinates the use of vendors such as photographers, web developers and printers
? Calendars internal and external meetings, arranges travel schedule and reservations as needed
? Greets and interacts with VIPs, press and employees with business savvy and polish
? Additional tasks as needed
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
? Associate Degree or higher in film, advertising, marketing or related field
? Minimum of three years administrative support experience in a fast-paced environment; publicity or marketing background is preferred
? Superior interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
? Must be proactive, able to work independently and drive projects to completion
? Detail oriented with superior grammar skills
? Proven ability to interact effectively within and outside the organization
? Ability to apply effective problem solving skills to high pressure challenges and rapidly changing circumstances with flexibility, dexterity, professionalism, and emotional maturity
? Must be computer literate with strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Keynote
