More infoGrill Concepts, Inc. is searching for a Senior Accountant to add to our talented team! We own, manage or license The Grill on The Alley and Daily Grill restaurant chains.

The Senior Accountant will be the central point of contact for several parties, both internal and external, including Staff Accountants, Restaurant General Managers and operating partners. Senior Accountant provides support for all accounting related activities for the Home Office and restaurants.

Under general supervision of the Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for:

* Review and analyze monthly restaurant financial statements, working with the Accountants to post adjusting entries
* Serving as Liaison to the Restaurant Management, provide explanations of the financials to Restaurant Management
* Preparation of monthly and quarterly corporate journal entries
* Review and analyze corporate cost center P&L’s and consolidated financial statements
* Completing monthly account reconciliations for selected restaurant and corporate accounts
* Review Restaurant Balance Sheet Account reconciliations
* Preparing audit schedules
* Working with external auditors during annual audits as well as government agencies
* Serving as liaison to restaurant ownership partners, landlords and other business
* Identifying areas for process improvement and implementation of improvements
* Assisting in the preparation and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
* Completing special projects as required

Qualified candidates will have an upbeat positive personality and:

* BA/BS in Accounting
* 4-6 years of general accounting and account reconciliation experience with a strong understanding of GAAP
* CPA or MBA a plus
* Experience with multi unit operations required
* Restaurant/Hotel or Retail industry experience a plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills with customer service focus
* Knowledgeable of internal controls and control procedures
* Strong analytical skills
* Strong knowledge and experience with MS Office programs and accounting software
* Great Plains and FRX a plus
* Experience with process improvement a plus

Candidates with multi-unit retail or hospitality experience, and experience with lease accounting are encouraged to apply.
