We have an opportunity for a: Woven Bottoms Designer
Leading Apparel Manufacturer with showrooms in Los Angeles and New York has an immediate need for a Woven Bottoms Designer to collaborate with the Design Director in their West LA location. This company covers all aspects of production, from mass-market private label to high-end contemporary fashion. This manufacturer is rapidly growing and building brands that thrive in multiple locations.
As the Woven Bottoms Designer, you will facilitate concept, design and final development for multiple departments.
Duties:
? Prepare style line sheets at the beginning, middle and end of each season to review number of skews
? Hand sketch flats for technical design team
? Create design inspiration boards and packages for overseas locations
? Develop and source new fabric qualities, yarn dyes, prints and trims
? Review lab dips
? Attend production fittings
Requirements:
? Bachelor's Degree; Fashion Design degree preferred
? 5+ years of experience in constructed bottoms
? Proven ability to handle multiple projects for multiple accounts
? Great eye for color
? Knowledge of raw materials (knits and woven's) and trims related to each design classification
? Understanding of garment construction, sewing techniques, color, fabrication, and trim
? MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Illustrator skills
