More infoVCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced and highly motivated overnight technician to join our well-established, AAHA-accredited, 24 Hour Emergency, Specialty and General Practice Hospital. We are a very busy 35 doctor teaching hospital located just minutes from the beautiful beaches of Santa Monica.

We are currently located in a 10,000 sq foot building and will be moving into a 40,000 sq ft building in the fall of 2012. We are looking to expand quickly and will eventually be adding up to 55 doctors. We have many exciting and challenging departments within the hospital which offer many career opportunities for different individuals.

The ideal candidate needs to be a team player who is friendly, outgoing, compassionate, people-oriented and has excellent communication and client service skills. Applicant must also be able to work with various different personalities and be flexible with their schedule. All candidates must work at least one weekend day.

Applicants will be responsible for the care and treatment of unstable and/or critically ill patients; triaging emergency patients; monitoring hospitalized pets; performing patient tests; treatments and nursing care; catheter placement, blood draws, radiology, anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and pharmacy.

Must be able to work fulltime. Available shift is from 10:00pm to 8:00am or 7:30pm to 6:00am for overnights. Times will vary for day shift. Must be able to work weekends.
