Job Title: Coach/Mentor

A World Fit For Kids! provides after school programs with safe, supervised, physical and academic enrichment activities that engage and inspire learning and achievement beyond the school day and WFIT is looking to healthy, active leaders in the Los Angeles area who have a passion for working with children. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assist in the development and implementation of sport, enrichment, nutrition and other physical activity projects
* Manage a group of middle school students while providing a safe and positive environment (grades 6th - 8th)
* Attend Trainings outside of typical program hours and on weekends as required
* Participate in weekly site meetings & contribute discussion topics
* Manage site equipment & resources in a responsible & tidy manner
* Assist in the with special events and field trips for the site

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

* Experience implementing out-of-school enrichment activities and/or educational activities
* Graduate of or majoring in education, physical education, recreation or a related field is desirable
* Must have an associate degree, bachelors, or be in the process of pursing one or the other.
* Regular Physical activity participation required
* Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate sensitivity to others.
* Excellent organizational skills
* Spanish communication is an asset (but not required)
* Must be over the age of 18.

DAYS / HOURS:

Monday to Friday, 3.25 Hours per day (after-school hours ranging from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM)
Some evenings and weekends may be required.
