We are looking for a Marketing Assistant for Student Recruiting at Shepherd University based in Los Angeles. The position would be mainly a social media marketing position. We are looking for someone with a love for the Digital Contents (Visual Effects, Film, Animation, Online Game, Music) of communication. The candidate must have an in-depth knowledge of social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Pinterest etc. He/ She must have strong reading& writing skills, be organized, detail oriented, and creative. Also as an Educational Recruiter you will recruit adult and high school prospective students, assess their educational needs and explain the benefits and objectives of the programs offered by IT Dept. of Shepherd University.
Tasks Performed & Responsibilities:
- Blog & Press Release writing
- Conduct face-to-face interviews, telephone interviews and e-mail correspondence to prospective students to determine their educational needs, concerns and interests.
- Facilitating orientation and Registration day activities.
- Closely assist and mentor students through admissions process.
- Actively participate in special recruiting promotional activities.
- Knowledgeable of Social Media (Blog, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Online Cafe)
- Communicate with clients to create and post content
- Manage social media pages for prospective students
- Use social networking skills to increase interest and followers
- Assist with research, event promotion, and various tasks
- Requirement: College degree in marketing, business or related area preferred
3 month paid trial period with potential for long term hiring based on performance.
