Assistant Teacher (Studio City Area)

The position includes working with children from transitional Kindergarten - 6th grade. We are a small private school with a strong sense of community and a rigorous academic curriculum. Our belief is that the social-emotional curriculum is as important as the academic curriculum. We believe in finding and keeping award-winning teachers.

Hours are approximately:
Monday-Friday 7:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Additional hours may be available/opportunities to substitute for lead teacher(s) at a higher rate of pay.

Responsibilities include:
-Working with small groups of children in language arts and math
-Assisting lead teacher with various tasks
-Supervising children at at drop off, recess or lunch time

Requirements:
-BS/BA in education or related field
-Experience with classroom management
-Collaborative mindset
-Experience teaching elementary math

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with Singapore Math
-Experience with Responsive Classroom
-Experience with Reader's/Writer's Workshop
-Experience in Jewish Education
-Experience in performing arts/education
-Experience with iPads/technology
