The Sony Digital Authoring Center is a world-class facility providing the best in Home Entertainment Package and Digital Media technology and services for 15+ years. In 2009, a new division, LOOT, was created to develop items, games, spaces, and experiences exclusively for PlayStation Home, the PlayStation 3 social network/virtual world. LOOT’s products range from movie-related premium personal spaces and virtual goods to original games and Entertainment on Demand System, a social viewing application. LOOT has expanded into new business verticals which includes cross platform videogame development and entertainment application creation.
As part of the LOOT team, you will be responsible for publishing PlayStation Home items for North American, European, Japanese, and Asian territories, Entertainment on Demand content maintenance, creation of monthly update reports to decision-makers, as well as building and maintaining a strong community centered around LOOT’s lines of business. The position is located in Culver City, CA.
Responsibilities
-Manage multiple complex projects concurrently, including the review and feedback of project scope, requirements, and analysis.
-Write Engagement Summaries.
-Manage the localization process for all projects.
-Complete game submission paperwork handling items such as commerce data, certificate of wholesale, Technical Requirements Check-list (TRC), and Format Quality Assurance (FQA).
-Quality control and bug report investigation.
-Maintain and localize gaming databases.
-Coordinate with production, design, marketing, and other internal departments to ensure that the team and consumers stay informed of company priorities and activities.
-Help, define, and maintain the community strategy including methods for engagement, moderation policies, content building, and outreach initiatives.
-Communicate directly with players, building strong relationships and maintaining a visible external presence.
-Review, author, and coordinate the release of external and internal messaging.
-Monitor discussion forums and other communication media to identify common player issues and discussion patterns
-Advocate internally on behalf of the player ensuring that company and development priorities are informed of player needs
-Conceptualize and execute community-facing initiatives.
-Coordinate with production and communication development teams to help plan and develop community and website features (forums, content systems, etc.)
-Compile and distribute Daily, Weekly, and Monthly community-related metric reports ensuring upwards visibility as well as identifying what metrics are valuable
Requirements
-At least 2 years of experience with game publishing workflow-related tasks.
-Excellent comprehension of multimedia game assets (graphic, programming, audio/video, QA, and localization) preferred.
-Basic Photoshop, Excel and Word skills.
-Attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, and effective self-QA.
-Ability to take full ownership of new and on-going projects, driving them through to completion.
-Exceptional communication skills.
-Must be a team player.
-Ability to adapt to a fluid and ever-changing work environment.
-Desire and passion for learning new methods and techniques.
-At least one year of Community Management experience.
-Must have a solid understanding of new media, social networking, and cutting edge community tools and techniques, and must be personally involved in at least one social media platform.
-Passionate for people, with an emphasis on the desire to solve their problems.
-Hard-working, goal-oriented individual with a strong passion for gaming, building community, and social networking.
