The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for providing all levels of management with useful and accurate financial information on a timely basis via verbal communication or documentation by being the subject matter expert.  This position also serves to assist with the monthly Financial Reporting Package in accordance with company guidelines as well as ensure that all monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings are completed and submitted to parent company by the required deadlines.

The Accounting Supervisor will perform all, but not limited to the following duties and responsibilities:
    Record journal entries and ensure the accuracy of information through monthly analysis and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts and analysis and variance research for the related income statement accounts
    Perform accounting processes and controls
    Partner with business owners and external vendors to understand the underlying business processes to insure that appropriate internal controls are in place and that the business activity is recorded in accordance with GAAP
    Accurately interpret new contracts and determine the appropriate accounting treatment for revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP to reconcile revenue
    Assist with review and coaching of the accounting staff in coordination with Management
    Oversee and give guidance to AR and AP and maintain performance measures for the teams
    Research and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts in accordance with company policies
    Proactively identify and resolve any issues or reconciling items related to general ledger balance sheet accounts
    Fully and completely understand and document the business processes related to assigned general ledger accounting including transaction flow
    In conjunction with the Controller, the Accounting Supervisor will assist in the identification of other relevant issues within the department and participate in the creation of innovative solutions and/or the implementation of new procedures
    Run ad hoc reports for special projects

REQUIREMENTS:
    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
    4-5+ years accounting experience  and hands on G/L accounting systems
    MS Dynamics experience preferred
    Advanced proficiency in Excel and MS Office
    Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls requirements
    Must have good written and verbal communications skills
    Must have strong organization skills
    Must have the ability to work independently and take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion
    Must be able to thrive on working in a fast paced environment, prefer managing multiple priorities within a high-energy, collaborative, fast moving environment
    Be a confident team player with strong interpersonal skills who can work across multiple functions to achieve goals
    Be a collaborative consensus builder who works well with other
