The Data Architect will focus on creating and implementing extensible data models,
and work with the core engineering team to establish best practices for data
architecture.

The Data Architect will be a core leader on the engineering team that will help to
identify the future roadmap for how the company leverages its data assets and
expands their value.

Responsibilities:
Work with technology and business group to identify future facing needs and
establish roadmap to execution.
Continue developing and implementing the company's data architecture in
support of scalability and performance.
Develop and enforce best practice guidelines for data models in Cassandra.
Work with engineering team leads to support the data architecture portion
of core company platform and help bridge requirements to technical and
business units.
Identify growth opportunities for the company's data assets.
Responsible for data architecture at platform and project level, with focus on
developing assets that are extensible and reusable.
Evaluate analytics packages to work with core data assets.

Qualifications:
Minimum of four (4) years experience as a Data Architect.
University degree BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and
relevant experience.
Expert level Data Architecture concepts.
Expert in traditional RDBMS databases and solutions.
Experience with Cassandra and NoSQL solutions.
Experience with high volume transactional systems.
Experience with high capacity and high concurrency systems.
Expert in systems integration.
Experience in PHP a plus.
Ability to comprehend, document, explain and articulate system and
architecture requirements.
Ability to understand system impact and performance a plus.
Hadoop/SOLR etc experience a plus.
