Eveleigh Restaurant in West Hollywood recently celebrated our 2 year anniversary and we are seeking one additional Floor Manager to join our team.

We are a high-volume, casual, upscale restaurant, without the pretense of other similar establishments. Our deck patio is an oasis overlooking the Los Angeles skyline, which opens up to allow open-air dining under the stars.

The Eveleigh's focus is Southern European- style cuisine, using Californian produce with a rustic approach. The chef focuses on in-house production of all aspects of his menu, including butchery, charcuterie, smoked meats, pickled produce, breads and so on.

Please have a minimum of 2 years experience in a fine dining restaurant setting or 5+ years in a serious managerial position outside the restaurant industry. We are a growing company and are looking for individuals that want to grow with us. Must be available to work weekends and mornings with an open schedule. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Floor Manager

? Management of day-to-day FOH operations
? Working and managing the floor during service
? Staff restaurant with employees who value the established service philosophy and are committed to high standards of performance
? Develop and coordinate ongoing service staff training program
? Develop initiatives to build sales, profitability and guest counts
? Maintain effective cost controls in support of these initiatives
? Train new employees in according to existing company operational standards
? To lead the pre-service huddle up and review the weeks' huddle up points
? Build exceptional working relationships with service staff Work hands-on to teach, oversee and motivate
? Foster good working relations between front and back of the house
? Make sure that the restaurant is stocked with adequate supplies of china, glass, and other various supplies at all times
? Responsible to meet or exceed budgeted sales goals
? Responsible to maintain labor efficiency ratios to ensure guest service and cost effectiveness
? Participate in weekly FOH Management meeting
? Coordinate regular service staff meetings to provide recognition to employees, promote a team-oriented environment and communicate new developments
? You will report directly to the General Manager

Floor Manager Duties:
? To ensure that the restaurant in fully staffed for every shift
? To check in employees as they arrive for work
? To copy the days' schedules onto the shift tip sheet
? To post the shift's tip sheet on the employee board before service
? To receive lateness write ups from employees arriving late for work
? To receive all clock in and clock out slips from employees
? To receive all on calls over the phone and either release them or call them in
? To assign and post employees side work prior to their arrival on the staff bulletin board
? To confirm that side work is completed prior to every shift
? To check that all service wares are available and ready for service
? To ensure that staff meal is served at the correct time every shift and is finished at the correct time every shift
? To lead the pre-service huddle up and review the weeks' huddle up points
? To confirm that the chef goes over the menu with staff and announces specials
? To have new menu, wine list, cocktails or beers tasted by staff at huddle up
? To assign and review server and busser sections with the maitre d'
? To post the server and busser sections on the employee board and announce them at huddle up
? To oversee the training of all new employees
? To ensure that service starts at the appointed time and finishes at the appointed time
? To oversee the work of all servers, runners, bussers and bartenders throughout service
? To make sure servers are entering orders correctly in the POS
? To make sure servers and bussers are working together
? To oversee and explain POS voids, returns and promos
? To communicate with the MD regarding VIP tables
? To communicate with the MD regarding what tables are needed at what time
? To deal with all guest complaints during service and to be fully aware of any problems
? To make sure all employees are on the floor during their shift
? To handle all guest complaints no matter how small
? To communicate with the expeditor and runners regarding all changes to orders that occur after the order has been
? To oversee the maintenance and cleaning of the restrooms throughout service.
? To process gift certificate requests during service
? To provide the bar bank before the start of service
? To collect and reconcile the bar bank and the end of service
? To close out all staff drink checks at the end of service
? To collect all cash tips and cash sales at the end of service
? To log all server reports and fill out the tip sheet
? To enter the tip sheet in the office computer
? To print a copy of the tip sheet and post it on the server board
? To oversee the transfer of tables and cutting of employees at the end of the night
? To ensure that all table transfers are handled according to protocol
? To give breaks to all employees working double shifts
? To give breaks to all employees as deemed necessary and provide their section with coverage
? To ensure that all drink orders and coffee orders are entered in the POS
? To retrieve and open wine from the cellar as necessary
? To deliver service bar orders as necessary
? To check the cleanliness of all glassware throughout the shift
? To monitor that dishwashers are changing the dishwasher water throughout the shift
? To make sure than clean glass and silver are being removed from the kitchen and stocked as necessary
? To cut floor staff at the end of their shift and oversee the picking up of late tables by closing staff
