Well established Domestic and International Freight Forwarder located in Los Angeles near LAX seeking career minded professional Account Executive with previous sales experience.
We are a team oriented, customer focused organization growing our sales team. Fast paced environment in a friendly atmosphere. Must be a professional with ability to work independently.
Job Description:
- Find new accounts and manage current customers to increase revenues
- Review customer requirements, recommend shipping alternatives
- Follow up on required paperwork both domestic and international shipping documentation
- Communicate and coordinate with Operations Staff
- Assist in direction for marketing strategies
- Manage and maintain relationships with your developed customer base by actively monitoring all customers shipping activity.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in freight forwarding/transportation
- Previous account management/sales experience -A Book of Business and clients preferred.
- Ability to make presentations and close to top level executives as well as entry level employees to ensure diversified sales opportunities
- Strong understanding of rates and profit margins
- Ability to establish marketing plans and put into action
- Strong execution and detailed resolution skills
- College degree preferred
- Enthusiastic, positive team player
- Basic computer skills with the ability to enter text into MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Successful sales track record
- Goal-oriented, self motivated
Base Salary from 35K -- 100K
plus commissions (will depend on experience and acquired business)
