STARR Restaurants, best known for Buddakan and Morimoto in the Meatpacking district, will be opening a 200 seat contemporary Mexican restaurant in the fall of 2013. Our search is underway for an Executive Chef to lead the culinary team. The ideal Chef must possess a passion for authenticity and cultural pride for the food. If you fit this bill, we want to talk to you!

Qualified Candidates will be:
? Product driven and have a passion for Mexican and Latin food
? Experienced in dish and menu development
? Successful at managing a team of minimum 3 sous chefs
? Successful at managing a team of minimum 20 cooks
? Effective at managing profitability (food cost, labor cost, P&L) and can show a successful track record

Qualified Candidates will have:
? Prior Executive Chef , Chef de Cuisine or Exec Sous Chef experience directing a team at a Mexican/Spanish/Latin restaurant
? Good longevity in current and past positions
? A.O.S Culinary degree preferred, not required

As Executive Chef you will have full responsibility for execution: overseeing quality, technique, portion, presentation, food cost, menu pricing and menu innovation.
