Minimum Qualifications:
• One year of experience in substance abuse treatment preferred; One (1) to three (3) years' work related experience in healthcare, behavioral health or social work. Strong professional references attesting to high degree of customer service, punctuality, and professionalism.
• Clean DMV record and/or in accordance with insurance company requirements.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Knowledge of the disease of chemical dependency and drug/alcohol withdrawal.
• Familiarity with medications used for drug and alcohol and psychiatric treatment.
• Demonstrate compassion and understanding while setting appropriate limits.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Computer literate
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and personalities.
• Skilled in time management and able to prioritize.
• Ability to cooperate as a team member with co-workers and management
• Active listening, de-escalation, conflict resolution, critical thinking, problem solving, and improvising skills all necessary.
