Responsibilities will include identifying, soliciting and managing event sponsors, and participants. Further responsibilities include securing celebrity and industry guest speakers, budget maintenance, marketing communications development, and oversight of event logistics.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 3 years job related experience in managing special events. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must be flexible to work occasional weekends when needed.
Researching and/or providing referral to various venues suitable for each event in multiple cities.
Booking rooming blocks with event housing and updating rooming blocks, as well as handling payment and adjustments.
Overview of Skills required:
- Knowledge of the film/TV, performing arts industry preferred but not mandatory
- Commitment to build event from the ground up and see through to fruition
- Excellent skills in writing sponsorship packages
- Excellent Analysis, writing and research skills
Part-time for most of the year. 40 plus hours weeks before summer and fall events. Must be flexible.
