ConsumerTrack.com has an immediate need for a Jr. Contributing Writer to support our Content Team. This position will work closely with our Sr. Writers and Editors to write and edit articles, press releases and informational publications.

Job Summary:

Position is entry-level and will entail writing locally-focused, SEO-optimized personal finance content, with some light editing. Previous writing experience is not necessary, but applicants must be able to demonstrate solid writing skills.

What will you do?

? Write and edit finance-based stories for our local sites
? Ensure that all content is optimized, relevant, error-free and grammatically correct

What skills do we need?

? Degree in Journalism or English preferred
? Experience developing press releases a plus
? Ability to handle heavy writing workload with minimal supervision
? Knowledge of AP Style
? Technical aptitude (HTML knowledge a plus)
? Basic understanding of SEO a plus
? Previous finance and/or writing experience a plus
? Your own blog or experience with Wordpress or other content publishing systems a plus
