Requirements and Qualifications:
This position reports directly to the Lead Web Developer and the Lead Project Manager.
HTML/CSS:
Write lean, semantic HTML
Familiar with HTML5/CSS
Cross-browser debugging skills
Convert design comps to "pixel-perfect" layouts
Application of simple SEO principles
Javascript:
Strong working knowledge and application jQuery
Evaluate, configure, and tweak open-source scripts
Write simple functional plug-ins
Experience with low-level/"raw" javascript a plus
PHP/MySQL:
Write basic PHP code: variables, objects, functions, methods
Basic general understanding of Object Oriented programming principles
Understand Relational Database systems and query syntax
Wordpress:
Able to construct and build themes from scratch
Familiar with Wordpress action hooks and filters
Familiar with Wordpress theme frameworks (Thematic)
Install, evaluate, modify and configure plugins
Development Tools & Platforms:
Hand code from scratch
Fireworks/Aftereffects/Photoshop
AJAX
Git and Basic knowledge of unix commands via SSH
Perl/Python/Bash scripting
e-Commerce platforms
Compensation dependent on experience and skill level.
