The Director of Materials Management will provide administrative direction, planning, and control of the Procurement, Logistics, Systems, Inventory Management, and Mail Center divisions of Materials Management. Provide director and control of the Supply Chain Management functions for CHLA and project management for Materials Management functions to support CHLA programs. The managers of Purchasing, Logistics and Mail Center report to this position, along with systems support personnel. Participation member of several committees including, Corporate Compliance, Safety Council, Infection Control. Directs the Value Analysis program and chairs committees.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field. Certification in Materials preferred. 5-10 years Management in Materials Management experience preferably in healthcare, Preferably in an academic, research hospital.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required: Thorough knowledge and experience with inventory logistics purchasing principles, systems, accounts payable, contract administration, freight and hospital equipment and supplies. Supervisory and Management skills and experience. Budgeting and finance analytical skills. Effective communication and analytical skills. Computer skill and experience with Finance ERP systems and PC office products.
