The Assistant General Manager leads the successful day-to-day operations of the restaurants. He/she over-sees training and develops staff members who provide exceptional customer service.

The Assistant General Manager works side by side with the General Manager to continue learning all components of the operation. The responsibilities of this position require the Assistant General Manager to be on their feet during peak hours, unless on break or in the office working on the computer or on other paperwork-related tasks.

At all times you are expected to follow the operational guidelines that will be given to you and to evaluate other tasks that need to be completed, and assist others with those tasks.

In addition to following our policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

? Team Development: Training, evaluating and developing Front of House staff including hosts, doormen and cashiers.

? Management : interviewing, and hiring new staff. Participating in personnel decisions regarding the restaurant team, including promotions and terminations. Assisting the General Manager in performing administrative duties including payroll, inventory, proper cash handling, invoices, etc. Successfully communicating company changes and focus to the team.

? Other Responsibilities: Maintaining a clean restaurant with excellent quality food and customer service. Maintaining cleaning and sanitation standards within the restaurant. Execution of marketing strategies. Ensuring that safety and security standards are emphasized and adhered to, and that employees are trained in appropriate responses to unsafe situations.

The ideal candidate will:
Be able to develop positive working relationships with each restaurants personnel
Speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and employees
Be able to adapt and succeed in a fast paced environment
Have previous supervisory role in the restaurant industry
Possess exceptional customer service skills
An eye for detail and the ability to multi-task and finish projects in a timely fashion
Be able to lead and develop people
Having general serving and or bartending experience is a plus
Have knowledge of and the ability to use a computer including word and excel programs
Have experience with Aloha POS system
Some HR experience would also be very helpful

We just need someone who isn't afraid to work the hours it takes to get the job done, pays attention to detail, thinks on their feet and has really good common sense. This isn't a 9am-5pm job.
