Seeking Elite SAT/ACT Tutors & College Essay Coaches (Palos Verdes)

High-level SAT tutors who have any or all of the following qualifications:
- scored 2200+ on the SAT
- scored above 750 on a particular section
- have experience teaching the SAT

High-level ACT tutors who have any or all of the following qualifications:
- scored 33+ on the ACT
- scored 34+ on a particular section
- have experience teaching the ACT

High-level writing coaches who have any or all of the following qualifications:
- an English (or similar) bachelor's (or higher) degree
- experience in professional writing
- experience assisting high schoolers with college essays

Hours are flexible, and pay is concomitant with your skill/experience level. Only tutors local to Palos Verdes (within ~15 minutes) will be considered.

The Opportunity
Revolution Prep (www.revolutionprep.com/about-us) is seeking talented, high-achieving individuals to teach and tutor our SAT/ACT programs in the following areas: Apple ValleyVictorvilleLancasterFounded in 2002, Revolution Prep has partnered with schools to enable students to increase their SAT/ACT scores and ultimately reach their academic goals. Motivated by student success, our instructors impact dozens, if not hundreds, of students per year and possess high-energy and charisma in addition to expert knowledge of the SAT/ACT exams.

The time commitment on a weekly/monthly basis is dependent on the preference of the instructor. The average instructor works between 4-10 hours per week. Individuals with full-time jobs looking for stimulating, rewarding work and some extra cash are encouraged to apply.

The Candidate
Ideal candidates possess a high-level of energy and enthusiasm for education. Although classroom experience is not required, s/he must be comfortable speaking in front of a group of high school students.

Specific requirements include: Bachelor's degree from a top universityAbility to score a minimum of 2100 on the SAT and/or a 32 on the ACTHave access to reliable transportation and be willing to travel locallyClassroom management experience preferredWe'll provide you with the training, materials, and students - you provide the inspiration!
