Me: A repped screenwriter with 5 years of experience working in Hollywood.
You: A young aspiring screenwriter willing to assist me for 6 months to a year in return for kickstarting your career.

If you want to be a writer in Hollywood but have no connections, this is a good gig for you. This is not paid, but if after a month or two you prove your worth, we can talk about longer term pay. After 6 months to a year, I will take a look at your material, and we will try to get it to a good enough state where I can get you repped, and you can start getting paid to write. It's a long journey, but that's what this business is.

What I want in an assistant is someone to answer my work phone, read my material and give thoughtful feedback, and someone I can have a back-and-forth with about story structure. Preferably, you are someone that majored in Screenwriting. I work out of home, and I do have two dogs that I would love for you to help out with. Also, some light cleaning every now and then, picking up coffee, etc. Hours would usually be something like 10:30am to 4pm, and you can definitely bring a laptop and be working on your own stuff during down time.
